David and I are hosting an Italian dinner party for 10 Saturday evening to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. I`m SO excited, cause we really havent had a chance to do anything yet. 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

✅️ Last night we turned on some music and polished the silverware we inherited from David`s mother.
✅️ Today I went to @traderjoes for all the fresh flowers.
✅️ David just got back from the liquor store and tomorrow morning he goes to @central_market He`s cooking Pasta alla Norma. 😋
✅️ The delicious coconut cake from @34thstreetcafe will be picked up tomorrow. 🍰🎂🍰 (no Tiramisu this time)
✅️ Fostoria water goblets and crystal wine glasses from the Main family are set. 🥛
✅️ Have two wooden circular boards for @viacarota`s towering Insalata Verde.
✅️ Italian wine? All set. 🍷🍷🍷

Me, I`ve been working on the tablescape design slowly over the past week, so I could let some new ideas perculate. 🍽
.
One new thing I`m tickled pink about is the adorable tiny cutting boards. I added Italian colored ribbon and each will have a small bowl of olive oil, with a tiny splash of real balsamic vinegar we bought in Italy. And TJs olive bread, which I`m addicted to. 🥖
.
The pastel plates were my grandmothers. Gold-rimmed chargers are from Amazon. And the green salad plates are Bordallo Pinheiro from @replacementsltd (which I love!!) 💚💛🩷🩵
.
Now, what to do with the napkins and the placecards, as the table is getting kind of crowded. Plus, I have olive branches but cant figure out what to do with them, cause they look skimpy on the table. Ideas anyone? Hmm, maybe they`d look good with the roses, cause I forgot greenery...🌹🌹🌹

Oh, and please keep your fingers crossed, as we have TWO interested parties touring our home, which is for rent this summer. 🤞🤞🤞
