“Grand Opening” for new shop on the block….”Flock”

New South Austin gift boutique at 2120 Oxford, Austin, Texas 78704

What a wonderful “Grand Opening” for the new shop on the block, FLOCK!  On September 29th this adorable house was filled with “handmade” gift items from local artisans –  from jewelry to candles, all previewed by guests galore.  The tiny threat of a thunderstorm (HA! fat chance in Austin, TX where there hasn’t been rain since Christmas?!?) did not prevent anyone from coming out to this fantastic party.

Congratulations to owners Tamara Carlisle, of Lights Out Candles, and local jeweler and savvy merchandiser, Ashley Woodson!!  And for me, it was extra grand, cause I didn’t have to do a thing that night but show up! (Well, we did make our first cushions for the event…and we’re still plumping them up.).  But I had a chance to actually sit down at an event (yes, on the new cushions) and enjoy talking and laughing with dear friends who came out to show their support.  Thank you to everyone who attended…great fun!  And be sure to stop by Flock next time you’re in S. Austin…you’ll love it!  Enjoy the photos! xoPG

P.S. We’re still learning about blogging and couldn’t get links to work under photos.  Probably a simple task but one that’ll have to wait for another day.  So here are just a few links for now:  Fat Cat Creations, Three Bishops, Tracy Tenpenny, Kailo Chic, Aloe Sarah.  Stop by the Flock to see many more local designers.
