How can a refrigerator be so sleek and sexy? My husband has claimed the range as his domain (cause I don’t cook) and I have now claimed the refrigerator. However, I had no idea this was going to happen to me. It came as a total surprise. I fell head over heels in love with our new refrigerator by Verona Appliances! When your oven breaks, it’s time for new appliances

It’s funny what makes a woman happy. Well, it was time. It was past time. My husband kept saying, “Now why do we need all new appliances? And what’s wrong with our refrigerator? ” It was kind of like when we remodeled our kitchen for the spring 2020 One Room Challenge and he said, “I don’t understand why we can’t keep this perfectly good tile we have now?” Well, he finally “gets it” and loves our new kitchen and ALL our new Verona Appliances.

You see, it all started with the range. Our oven broke in the summer of 2020, so we couldn’t bake anymore and only two of the gas burners actually worked.

Verona Appliances to the rescue

Verona Appliances is an Italian-made luxury brand I absolutely adore! It was only after I had already completed our kitchen remodel, that I discovered Verona had released this entire new gorgeous Kitchen Suite. So that started the ball rolling. That’s a little back story for reference as to how we now have an entire Verona Kitchen Suite, except for the hood (which we had selected another brand during the One Room Challenge).

Fast Forward to 2021 and 2022

Step 1:

First, in the fall of 2021, we purchased the Verona 30″ gas range (below), which David, the chef in our family, absolutely LOVES! The burners are incredibly powerful and the oven is a baker’s dream.

In spring 2022, we purchased the final kitchen appliance below, the Verona French Door Refrigerator.

Hello French Doors and Ice Maker!

The “piece de resistance” for me personally was this final appliance to complete our Verona Kitchen Suite – the French Door Refrigerator.

If I could hug a refrigerator I would. I had NO idea how much I would love this appliance. We had a broken icemaker for years and of course, we never could find anything in the back of our old refrigerator.

Now let’s get organized

Isn’t the design absolutely beautiful? I can tell you right now, that this image below (by Verona Appliances) is my 2022 organization goal!

Here are the Verona French door refrigerator features I love and why:

1. I open both doors at the same time and at one glance I can see everything in the refrigerator.
2. There is one drawer for veggies and one drawer for fruit. So nice to be able to keep produce separately.
3. The shelves are shallow vs deep, so there’s no more finding months-old moldy food in the back of our fridge.
4. The lighting is fabulous and you can see everything.
5. The side shelves are so large (I mean huge) that you can fit a lot of what was in the main part of your refrigerator on the side doors, like stacks of yogurts.
6. The side shelves are deep and tall. Perfect for all bottled juices, milk, soda, and the always needed Prosecco.
7. The meat and cheese drawer opens like a dream. It actually feels smooth as silk when you pull it out. A luxury detail that cannot be missed!
8. Two freezer drawers are plenty for what we store and they pull out so easily.
9. I love the large rounded handles, and how the finish is consistent with all our Verona appliances,
10. And the final luxury for me – ice! Real ice! No more filling a plastic container and having to crack it into pieces and then always having to fill it again because we ran out. (I kid you not!) These are perfectly formed small rounded cubes. Not too big. Not too small. Absolutely PERFECT!

Did I tell you how much I love our new Verona refrigerator? One of my favorite things to do is pull out the top freezer drawer, add ice to my water, and then close the drawer with my knee. All in one smooth move!
