Whether in runway fashion or fashion for the home, it's time to pucker up with jewel tones! Jewel tones like bold reds, greens, blues, purples and golds, have a way of holding their own through any season.  I couldn't resist this provocative Instagram image above (via @lo_specchio) with Pantone's Color of the Year, Ultra Violet. Find out how you can add rich color

"RESPONSIVE TEXTILES was founded on the idea that clothes are our second skin, and they should be as unique and human as we are." -- Kristine Rodriguez

A few weeks ago during New York Fashion Week (NYFW) I had the opportunity to write a story for a top kitchen and bath luxury brand BLANCO, and pair their IKONIC sinks and faucets with fashion hot off the runway of NYFW.  I had heard of, but didn't know too much about, the up-and-coming fashion brand RESPONSIVE TEXTILES. I fell in love with the Bennu Skirt which I featured in my lead off image below.  (If you missed that sponsored post, no worries, you can read it right HERE.)

With New York Fashion Week upon us, it's exciting to see what the hottest trends will be for 2017. When it's high fashion time on the runway, we can usually predict in the home furnishing industry that this year's runway styles will make its way into home decor by the following year.

What a thrill it was earlier this week to tune into #ModenusTalks, a new series Veronika Miller is doing with Modenus during the blog tours. The first one was launched in Vegas which you can read about here.

And you know I've been sharing with you all the wonderful treats from the first NYC Blog tour (with many more inspiring posts to come!) and that understandably I'm partial to my own team BlogTourNYC2014)

But, this Part Deux team last week got to go to the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) which I know was incredible, and, as Veronika always does, she created a host of other inspiring events.

Yay!! I can now tell you about ten of my design finds from #BlogTourNYC because Modenus released their Best of BlogTour NYC list last week!!! I've been dying to share with you all the FABULOUS design I saw, but had to hold back on my top three. Modenus asked each of the Bloggers for their top three design picks from the whole entire four day tour. Can you imagine? I can understand why they chose three because there's a dozen of us. Doing the math that gives 36 top design finds from our tour, so that's a pretty fabulous list!

But I can't  begin to tell you how challenging that was to select just THREE from the entire tour!!!!!  Especially since every waking hour for 4 days straight we saw design inspiration around every corner! (Official style spotters and interior designers are used to making selections like this...but this was very new to me.)

One of the highlights for me and Deborah Main Designs at the #SneakPeek at Dallas Market in January (Yup, I still have a couple more posts of inspiration from just that one single day!) was having the opportunity to meet and hear Thomas O'Brien speak. Not having a background in design, I honestly didn't know who he was. I really enjoyed hearing him speak, seeing his slide show, and learning about his NYC store. Since going to Dallas was my first time attending market as a blogger, I was very keen on learning more and listening to what he had to say. I was definitely intrigued!
