21 Feb 6 Reasons to Skip Saturday Errands and Attend Inspiring Austin Modern Home Tour!

Who doesn’t dream of remodeling parts of their existing home, or a brand new home?  I bet you every single one of you reading this post has daydreamed about new architectural features, or a more modern interior, outdoor pool or new kitchen, for your home. Well, this weekend is your time to get inspired! The 2019 Modern Home Tour kicks off THIS Saturday, Feb. 23rd, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and you are not going to want to miss this one.  Not only does it feature 12 incredibly unique modern homes, but this year, there’s a NEW Mid-century Block Party, kicking off at 3 p.m, at the NEW Starlight Village in North Austin.

Originally conceived by Goodlife Luxury with the very first tour in 2010 (I remember that one well,  because Deborah Main Designs staged an entire home full of pillows and learned so much about architecture at the panel discussions), it is developed and produced by Modern Architecture + Design Society (MA+DS) and now entering its second decade. Congratulations MADS!!

There’s an extremely creative Stegner renovation by MJ Neal, along with the entirely Mid-century Modern inspired Starlight Village community, with many homes furnished with period-authentic pieces!
