18 Oct The Next Bend in the Road
Sometimes we need space to clear our heads.
Sometimes we need to look at nothing.
Sometimes cornfields, silos, farms, sky, and the next bend in the road will do just fine.
On my recent excursion to an east coast family wedding (which was the first of the next generation among my cousins and was awesome to see everyone!), I did not encounter all the glorious fall color I was eagerly anticipating. The changing leaves had not worked its way down to Pennsylvania quite yet. But the scenery was so green, brown, gold, rich with color and texture, that the farmland, and my family, surely made up for it.
For this week’s Texture Tuesday, please enjoy the landscapes of the farmland of rural Pennsylvania. Plenty of texture and color if you just look out the window of your car. And I did see one gorgeous tree in the process of changing it’s color. I think the fall is a great time to assess life and business and see where the next bend in the road takes you. For me, a meaningful trip seeing family was a nice time to “pause” from the regular busy life.
I wish you a wonderful Autumn season. Please be sure to sign up for my blog on the top sidebar, as this Friday I share an interview with amazing textile and fashion designer Kristine Rodriquez of Responsive Textiles. Till then, XO, PG
Note: Most pics were taken on a cloudy day at dusk from my car window. I did enhance a tad, but I don’t yet have a photo shop program where I can brighten the foreground separately from the background, but I still hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
