I’m really excited for many of my blog tour mates and friends that are attending this year’s Architectural Digest Home Design show in NYC Thursday, March 19th -22nd , 2015, for four reasons:

  • First – The AD Home Design show is AMAZING and I had the privilege of attending last year during #BlogTourNYC2014 due to Modenus and our wonderful sponsors: Miele, Prizer Hoods, Rutt Cabinetry, BlancoAmerica, and DXV.
  • SecondModenus, celebrates FIVE years of rocking it with educational Blog tours all over the world! Congratulations Veronika et al!!
  • Third – Veronika Miller, the Goddess of all blog tours (and CEO of Modenus), always kicks of the AD show with the Marys & Mimosas Event.  Let’s just say, they all drink champagne before the event starts and then have a blast looking at all the great design.  And let me tell you, it is FABULOUS fun!!
  • FourthDining by Design, is a design challenge fundraiser put on by DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) ever year at the AD Home Design show.  I’m super excited for nationally acclaimed interior designer, Corey Damen Jenkins, who was asked this year to design the Beacon Hill /Robert Allen DIFFA table (Read a press release about the exotic silks and collaboration HERE). Corey was just named one of the Top 20 African American Interior Designers in the United States. Congratulations Corey!

In honor of the 2015 Architectural Home Design show this week and Modenus’ 5th anniversary, #TextureTuesday is all about some of my favorite textures from the 2014 AD show and a sneak peek of Corey’s textures for the Beacon Hill /Robert Allen DIFFA table. Wishing everyone at the AD show (and/or on spring break) a fabulous time! XO, PG

Michele Varian will surely be at the AD Home Design show like she is every year showcasing her fabulous pillows and NEW pendants. Oh what a treat it was last year meeting her and seeing her incredible NYC store!

Here’s a sneak peek below of the new Mala bead pendant lights Michele Varian is debuting this week at the 2015 Architectural Digest Show. (photo below by Michele Varian + AKMD). I love the cool textures in the variety of shapes on these pendants. They are made from spun copper or brass with wood beads. They’ll be divine in person!

Here’s an example of one of the most spectacular DIFFA tables last year at Dining by Design, by Ralph Lauren Home.  It overflows with wonderful textures, doesnt’ it?
