22 Apr Deborah Main’s Earth Day Tips with BLANCO

Today is Earth Day and we at Deborah Main Designs plan to celebrate in a big way with a new composting system! While attending the Architectural Digest Home Design Show, BLANCO videotaped all twelve bloggers, in groups of three, to share our “Earth Day Tips” with consumers. We had so much fun making the “Earth Day” videos that we wanted to share it with you on this special day.

Earth Day began on April 22, 1970 with over 20 million Americans helping to launch the modern environmental movement. The Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act along with other substantial environmental policies followed closely behind. Now more than 1 billion people participate in Earth Day every year in order to increase awareness and funding to protect the environment and all the beauty the world has to offer us.  How are you celebrating Earth Day today and every day?

BLANCO has made the kitchen sink the focal point of the room. And we love that because our kitchen and breakfast nook is THE focal point in our home. Now all I have to do is find a way to remodel my ENTIRE kitchen!!

We already compost, but I thought this would add an extra bit of motivation for me, especially since BLANCO has inspired me to get out there and garden again too. I’m trying out a Hydrangea bush (which I understand is hard to do in Texas)….now all I have to do is get out there and plant it!
