Bold colors truly inspire me!  And there is no fresher, cleaner color than blue – the color of the sky and oceans.  I always dreamed of wearing a ring like my mother filled with blue sapphires and diamonds. But I think this summer, considering the heat et al, I’ll dream of lying on a sail boat in the middle of the ocean surrounded by multiple shades of blue like the pillow below.

Blue can be calming and tranquil, but at the same time blues can be brilliant and bold,  like ocean waves crashing to the shore.   Take a look at this neutral rustic settee (above) and look what happens when you add wild pops of color!  (I bet you your mood has brightened!)

In fact, according to Austin painter Leanne Venier, a renowned artist, scientist & color therapy expert, color has a lot to do with how we feel every day of our lives.
