What a thrill it was earlier this week to tune into #ModenusTalks, a new series Veronika Miller is doing with Modenus during the blog tours. The first one was launched in Vegas which you can read about here.
But a new team of bloggers was in NYC last week on the 2nd New York BlogTour #BlogTourNYC(PartDeux). (I know this might get a little confusing, but these amazing blog tours keep coming. And you know I've been sharing with you all the wonderful treats from the first NYC Blog tour (with many more inspiring posts to come!) and that understandably I'm partial to my own team BlogTourNYC2014)
But, this Part Deux team last week got to go to the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) which I know was incredible, and, as Veronika always does, she created a host of other inspiring events. And we really had one ya'll!! In 2011, Deborah Main Designs pulled out all the stops at our last Austin Fashion Week event at 1020 Glass Art & Decor, called a "Pillow Party at The Pillow Glass Lounge". It was very cool, I must say so myself! With such great memories, well, I thought this photo above was very apprepro for this week's upcoming #PillowFight.
Now tell me honestly, do you ever get frustrated trying to arrange your decorative pillows? Do you sometimes feel like throwing a pillow at your husband because he said the wrong thing, or, as found of D' Coop Media, Brandon Smith, reminded me, re-enact the hilarious stabbing scene from "Along Comes Polly"? Well don't worry, as we have all been there. Here's your chance to literally throw your grievances on the bed and take it out on your pillows. Just please leave the knife in the kitchen.
Come help us duke it out this Thursday, May 22nd, at 3 PM CST (1 PM PST, 4 PM EST) on Twitter, as I partake as guest host, on Brandon Smith's #DesignLux chat's "Pillow Fight".
That's right, the Pillow Goddess, moi, is in the hot seat!
Part II: Tess Casey's studio, Aisling Flowers, and a Floral Design Workshop. As mentioned in Part I: Deborah Main Inspired by Flower Market with Tess Casey, the first day of #BlogTourNYC with Tess Casey was all arranged by our generous sponsor West Edge Design Fair. Thank you!!!
Well, it's that time of year again - High Point Market in North Carolina,(#hpmkt) THE largest furniture market in the U.S. - kicks off this weekend from Saturday, April 5th - 10th. There will be an incredible amount of fabulous new design from top brands and smaller ones with the famous Style Spotters (10 designers hand-selected by #hpmkt) sharing all their finds. Plus all my Twitter friends are going to be there, as well as two designers that I've grown to admire very much.

Well, hello world!! It's great to be back home in Austin, Texas after a whirlwind of a #BlogTourNYC trip, but I am confident that I can speak for all my fellow bloggers:
#BlogTourNYC was THE most enriching experience ever! We can't believe it's over! We miss everyone! AND, we wish we could relive it all again!!
WOW!!! What a whirlwind of a tour of NYC and all the fabulous design there!! I can't even begin to describe how exciting it was, all that I learned, all the wonderful inspiration, and just how amazing everyone was. From my fellow bloggers, to the designers and brands we met.....well, let's just say I'm in awe and truly humbled to have had the honor of being on this tour.
One of the highlights for me and Deborah Main Designs at the #SneakPeek at Dallas Market in January (Yup, I still have a couple more posts of inspiration from just that one single day!) was having the opportunity to meet and hear Thomas O'Brien speak. Not having a background in design, I honestly didn't know who he was. I really enjoyed hearing him speak, seeing his slide show, and learning about his NYC store. Since going to Dallas was my first time attending market as a blogger, I was very keen on learning more and listening to what he had to say. I was definitely intrigued!
