With a passion and mission to fearlessly create beautiful statement decor, Be OUTSPOKEN shares their inspirational messages with a global audience. Handcrafted hides – affirming both empowerment and equality – provide opportunities to express core values and offer daily inspiration for people to live their best life. With conviction and strength, there has never been a brand with such powerful and hopeful messages we can all embrace in our homes and lives.
The Design
In 2018, Be OUTSPOKEN began research and development to create their unique painting process. Above all, their goal was to achieve the highest standards of production quality for their original artwork to deliver vibrant colors and durability.
The Artistic Process
Be OUTSPOKEN has five incredible designs. Susan has been painting acrylic messages and hanging them around her home for over 20 years. Due to that, each artwork starts with one powerful inspirational statement. Then comes the design. Next up, is over 25 hours of handcrafted artisanship, meticulously applying many colours to the hides, with the finest pigments from Italy in a multi-colored approach. Each is protected with a special UV coating to prevent fading. Trim or fringe is double-stitched on with heavy-duty upholstery thread. The entire creative process takes a few months, but only 6 -8 weeks to produce one custom rug design. Note: All cowhides are sustainably sourced from the best Brazilian tanneries. Also, a veggie-tanned option is available.

The result, is their signature product line of one-of-a-kind and limited edition sustainable hides like no other. Because of their meticulous production, each hair on hair hide artwork has small variations in color and texture. This makes Be OUTSPOKEN’s one-of-a-kind and limited edition hides unequivocally filled with originality and spirit.

Global Brand Ambassador + High Point Market Launch
Be OUTSPOKEN was to launch their exciting NEW product line at the April High Point market. High Point, in North Carolina, is the largest home furnishings trade show in the United States. Global Brand Ambassador, the effervescent Rachel Moriarty, was to design their entire showroom with exciting events. However, all trade shows were canceled this spring due to the Pandemic. As a result, thousands of businesses were affected, as was Be OUTSPOKEN.
As much of a disappointment as this was, Be OUTSPOKEN, did not waiver. Their brand epitomizes positivity! Like many businesses are having to do right now, they pivoted. And Rachel will surely outdo herself as Ambassador at the next High Point Market in October.

I met Susan at LIGHTOVATION at the January Dallas Market Center at the keynote presentation my dear friend Leslie Carothers of Savour Partnership was doing on social media.
