16 May FINAL Weekend to See Amazing Art at WEST!

What an incredible first weekend we had at my first WEST Austin Studio Tour put on by the non-profit Big Medium. It’s been a lot of preparation but so worth it as we had tons of people walking through my home studio to see all FIVE artists: Denise Jaunsem, Annie Darling, Yuliya Lanina and Judith Simonds. It’s been such an honor to exhibit my textile pillow art with these fantastic women artists!

We’d like to thank our collectors for your support and coming to our special cocktail event and to each of you in Austin (and it seemed quite a few from San Antonio) for stopping by to see our artwork. We really enjoyed meeting and talking with everyone, including multi-generations who came out on Mother’s Day. Thank you so much!!

For this week’s Texture Tuesday I bring you color and texture details (these are my own images below and not professional photos, except for Judith’s sculptures) from each of the five artists’ work at Tour Stops 224, 225, 226 & 227, as well as more art at the Group Exhibition at the Dougherty Arts Center. This weekend is the final weekend to see:

• 300 + artist’s pieces all in one place at the WEST Group Exhibition,
• visit 150+ artists studios to get a glimpse of how they create, and
• see the work of all five artists at my studio, Deborah Main Designs.
