03 Jan Happy New Year with Texture from The Bauer Venezia!
Happy New Year! I hope you and your family and friends had a lovely holiday. I don’t know about you, but I’m NOT one of these people who bolt out of the gate come Monday, January 2nd, with all my goals and plans set for 2017. No, no…I’m one who always wishes for TWO weeks between Christmas and New Years because I need more time.
In fact, to be honest, I don’t know how everyone’s so organized the minute the New Year arrives. I mean WHERE and HOW did they have time to get all that together during the holidays??
It was a very busy December for me with my Holiday Open Studio & Sample Sale and then my own family holidays. You have my total permission to take your time. Not that you need it, but sometimes in our open Social Media world it’s easy to slip into the “I’ve got to be ready for the new year!” mode. For me, I know I ALWAYS need more time. This week I’m going to continue to recharge, do some planning and maybe even get out to see an art exhibit or two.
Today for Texture Tuesday I thought I’d give you a little inspiration to dream about your summer vacation. Here’s a little texture from a sneak preview of a blog post I’m working on about The Bauer Venezia. The Bauer is a luxury hotel in Venice of which I had the pleasure of having a private tour. (This is not a sponsored blog post. But I do enjoy writing about luxury brands. Here’s a sponsored post I wrote last year for BLANCO.)
Without further ado, below are some photos I took (on our 2015 summer family vacation to Northern Italy) of details before The Bauer Venezia remodel. I never had enough time in 2016 to write about all the wonderful art, design, color and texture I experienced on this fantastic trip, so get ready for some Italian inspiration in 2017.
Happy New Year friends! I wish you a magical year filled with love, laughter and joy! XO PG
(Note: Below, The Bauer Venezia is the building on the left. You can see the top deck where I have gorgeous photos for my next post. Also, the last image of the flowers in the entryway to the guest suite was very blurry, but I liked it, so I made the whole thing blurry.)
