11 Nov Texture Tuesday – From Dawn to Dusk, the Details of Venice
I’m working really hard to make my #TextureTuesday blog posts much, much shorter and filled with much more texture and color to ignite your creativity. I get inspired by all sorts of different texture and color and like to share it with you every week. But I really hope you get inspired too. So please let me know…I would love to hear from you!
As you know, my family and I went to Northern Italy this summer. I’ve written several blog posts about Varenna, including 10 reasons you should consider vacationing there on Lake Como, and now we’re beginning our journey to Venice. Please check out the one post I did a few weeks back about all the fantastic tile inspiration and marble in Venice HERE. Actually I started writing about Italy in September with our first post HERE.
You can never really quite capture all of Venice. No matter how many photos one takes, there is too much. Because you could go to Venice 1,000 times and still not see it all.
Venice is filled with intricate details in architecture, art, design, flora, history, the water, the sky, the people, and the way the light falls. From doorways, to canals, to rooftops to gargoyles, there is color and texture everywhere in Venice!
But it’s the light as the night falls that really intrigued me, because Venice is different every moment of the day and night. It is THAT unique!
So, as promised, less talking, and more texture for this week’s #TextureTuesday. Come on the adventure of discovering Venice with me over the next few weeks. We’ll learn about luxury hotel, The Bauers Venezia properties, and the Fortuny showroom on the island of Giudecca, where I enjoyed a private tour. I’ve got fabulous images and interviews to share with you.
Before you know it, you’ll have your tickets booked to Venice…and I will too! I’ve got to go back and spend more time getting lost and encountering more texture and color at every turn. Till next time, XO PG
