26 Sep Collect Holiday Ornaments with Deborah Main Designs!

It’s so unusual for me to think about Christmas and the holidays in September when it’s still 97 degrees out! But we debuted our brand new holiday ornament collection in Atlanta in July at the International Gift & Home Furnishings show, so it’s kind of hard NOT to talk about the holidays so soon.  Especially,  since we’ve just released our holiday ornaments (If you’re not signed up for our quarterly Pillow Talk, please read our newsletter HERE) and we’ve invited everyone to place their orders as soon as possible to guarantee delivery before Thanksgiving!  But what’s so funny, is that I always was one of those people that griped, “I Cant’ believe they’ve got Christmas decorations up and it’s not even Thanksgiving!”.  I guess I won’t be doing that schtick anymore 🙂 !

Instead I’ll be talking all about “Collecting”.  And that really makes sense for me as a person, because my whole life I’ve always had attachment to places, people, and things.  I had family heirloom jewelry and furniture passed down to me through the generations.

I was born and raised Deborah Main Jones, hence, the origin of the Deborah Main brand. And jewelry and home furnishings have always been items I’ve collected and cherished from an early age! 

And now at Deborah Main Designs studio, where we’re filled to the brim with collections of vintage textiles, rare French trim (read earlier blog post on collecting), and vintage designer costume jewelry, we not only get to collect but we create pillows too. Which is also quite fitting for me as decorative pillows with needlepoint, lace, & ribbon were also passed down to me as well, so collectibles mean a great deal to me!
