12 Sep Holiday Ornaments with Deborah Main Designs!
I know, you’re saying, “Gee, it’s not even Halloween, and she’s already talking about Christmas!!” Well yes, it IS still summer here in Austin, but I can just sense that cool crisp fall breeze headed this way. And, I’m I REALLY excited about our new product debut, our original “Les Petits Bijoux” holiday ornaments!! You can’t ask me to keep it all to myself, now can you?? Anyways, you know the holidays will be upon us before you know it, so you need to get your orders into Deborah Main Designs for these “Perfect Little Gift” beauties pronto!!
How many of you love the ritual of decorating your Christmas tree with ornaments passed down through the generations? Do many of your ornaments come with family stories ready to pass on to your children? I have a collection of treasured ornaments (too many to name here) but some from when I first got married, ones our two children made in elementary school, our first family trip to China, a glass egg my mother-in-law purchased for us on her trip to Galveston, and even a pirate from a Grand Cayman trip with my mother.
But there’s a few really special ones, and one of them is a pillow ornament that my daughter made me when I told her years ago I wanted to create Deborah Main collectible ornaments.
You see, I was just thinking about it, trying to envision it with a vintage button…I hadn’t ever made one yet. Then one day, completely out of the blue, my daughter tinkered in her room and presented me with a gift. Inside the box was a beautiful, hand-sewn velvet ornament with a vintage button on it!!! (I wish I had a photo to show you, but all our ornaments are tucked away safely in our Christmas boxes until we set up our tree early December).
It was a magical moment I’ll always remember!
Then, with a little trial and error (thank you to all who bought our very first odd-sized ornaments), Deborah Main Designs conducted our own product development through the years, (our UnZipped collection took 2 years to be precise!). Now, with the skills of our team of expert seamstresses, and our new, custom signature black boxes……….drum roll please……
Deborah Main Designs is launching our new Collectible Holiday Ornament Collection: Les Petits Bijoux.
‘Tis the baby of the Les Bijoux family of pillows. (You’ll hear more about Les Bijoux and Les Bijoux de Luxe in future posts). And not even available yet on our website (as we have a new website in the works), you are seeing some of the firsts of this new collection we are thrilled to present to you.
We first debuted them in our signature black box in July at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market. Everyone loved them! But we’re now putting the word out to you, our readers, that our ornaments are finally available wholesale and retail!! YAY! After going to Atlanta two times this year,
I have a REAL respect and appreciation for those who spend years before they even open their businesses to focus on “Product Development”.
It’s a real art to get a product perfect enough to sell wholesale, and I’m proud to say we have finally done it!! The Deborah Main Designs “Les Bijoux Petits Collection” of holiday ornaments are
Fashioned with our signature style of new and vintage fabrics and French trim and crowned with a dazzling vintage rhinestone button.
Each Deborah Main original ornament is a one-of-a-kind, collectible 4 x 4 inch pillow nestled in it’s own 6 x 6 satin-lined, signature black box. Collect one, collect them all! We can’t wait to make more just for you this holiday season!!
Now taking orders for delivery before Thanksgiving; minimum wholesale order is five. Please call our studio 512.447.9807 to place your custom order by color.
