We have carried Deborah Main Designs’ one-of-a-kind pillow collections in our store since we discovered them in late 2005. They quickly became an important part of the consumer offerings here at The Home Retreat (Austin, TX), and have been a strong seller to a variety of customers. The line has sold well both as individual sales and as part of a custom designed bedding arrangement. We have had much success selling them alongside other fine linens such as Anichini, Bonjour Switzerland, Schlossberg, and Peacock Alley.

Recently, a customer fell in love with a large rectangular pillow, with a wide swath of modern woven French trim in the center, designed by Deborah as the centerpiece for one of our Daniel Stuart microsuede beds. The customer loved the pillow so much that she bought all the bedding to go with it, saying it would go perfectly with her rustic French décor. That is just one example of how Deborah’s line can contribute to a store’s success.

The Home Retreat (www.thehomeretreat.com) is a contemporary home linens and furnishings store located in the heart of downtown Austin. Our wide customer base varies from local designers, to affluent Austinites and urban dwellers. Their common thread has been a desire for unique pieces in their living spaces in order to create their own design retreats.
