From left to right: moi, Julia Buckingham, Frederick Rayner, and Danielle at Global Views Grand Opening, June 2018.

With Vegas Market starting up this weekend, I thought I’d better take a break from vacation and share with you The Pillow Goddess Top 5 Product Picks from Dallas Total Home & Gift Market and LIGHTOVATION, Dallas International Lighting Show. To say Dallas Market was a fantastic tradeshow is an understatement! Truly, there were so many amazing events to attend (See our TOP 5 Pre-Market Picks HERE) and products to see, I was lucky I scheduled 3 full days or I wouldn’t have had enough time.

Dallas Market inspires me! I attend for 5 main reasons:

  1. to learn more about the home and design industries,
  2. see designer friends and catch up,
  3. attend designer product launches, showroom events, and panel discussions,
  4. meet and get to know new designers I haven’t met yet #irl (in real life), and
  5. most of all, to be inspired by all the fabulous new products available.

If you are a homeowner working with an interior designer, be sure to have your designer take you sometime to shop at Dallas Market. Believe me, you will come away inspired!

I listened to the Dallas Style Eyes panel discussion led by Adam Glassman, the Creative Director of O, the Oprah Magazine, and was so inspired that the whole drive back to Austin, while eating my habitual DQ chocolate dipped cone, I was bursting with excitement sorting in my mind who I met, who I need to follow up with, and planning my business strategies for the remainder of the year.

Dallas Market rechargers me. It connects me with designers and brands I greatly admire and gives me the juice I need to keep working hard on my own brand, Deborah Main Designs.

There is SO much beautiful new product out there that it’s hard to select only 5 favorites.  But no worries, as Dallas Market had me covered with their inaugural class of the Dallas Style Eyes, the taste-makers, trend-setters, and style experts.

Drum roll please…..

The Pillow Goddess TOP 5 Product Picks + 3 Events. Some of my selections are brand new products, while others may have been around, but I’m seeing them for the first time. And, coincidentally, it looks like Dallas Style Eyes Shayla Copas, and Dann Foley and I happen to love some of the same products. Sweet!!

#1 Pillow Goddess Product Pick: The Arches Rug at Global Views Brand NEW Showroom in the Interior Home + Design Center is spectacular!  I am standing on it in the photo above with owner Frederick Reyner and one of Global Views Brand Partners, the effervescent Julia Buckingham with her assistant Danielle.

It’s not only the pattern that really captures my attention but the rich colors.  This bold rug would look fabulous in any space, not only modern, but with a mix of antiques. Read about Global Views Grand Opening HERE and their brand partners HERE.

#2 Pillow Goddess Product Picks happen to be two chandeliers during the fabulous LIGHTOVATION show. If you missed it, please enjoy some fun pics (at end of post) of the opening of the NEW Smart Center where I heard Leslie Carothers take us on a speedy tour of what to pay attention to in social media.

1st #2 Pillow Goddess Product Pick is Libby Langdon’s newest lighting collections for Crystorama. Notice Dallas Style Eyes designer Dann Foley fell in love with Libby’s new design too.

Libby has been designing lighting for Crystorama for some time now. I only recently met Libby in January, hearing her speak on an incredibly informative panel with Michele Workman and Dann Foley. (That too was where I first met Dann Foley). Having heard about these two powerhouse designers for some time, it was a treat to finally meet them in person at Dallas Market and learn how they grew their companies into licensing. Check it out on the Pillow Goddess blog post HERE.

2nd #2 Pillow Goddess Product Pick is one of the NEW chandeliers by CWI Lighting, this gorgeous crystal chandelier. It comes in a couple different styles; see another one on our blog HERE. I don’t know about you, but lighting is one of my favorite pieces for the home. And this one meets my needs for some bling!

Made from concentric circles of crystals, this is a dramatic statement piece in a large foyer. Read more about CWI Lighting’s re-branding HERE.

#3 Pillow Goddess Product Pick is luxury linens by two fabulous brands, Peacock Alley and Pandora de Balthazar.

Pandora del bathazar, bedding, fine linens,

I had the pleasure of meeting Pandora for the first time #irl in the gorgeous showroom of Verona Prive.  Pandora’s depth of knowledge on textiles was so inspiring to me. And you must ask her to show you her beautiful collection of vintage textiles!

Running in to Mary Ella Gabler, the founder of Peacock Alley fine linens, was a bonus surprise!!  I happened to catch her and her son, Josh Needleman, during their ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new showroom in the Interior Home + Design Center.

Peacock Alley luxury linens are divine!  We have them in our Airbnb The Collier Guest Room and our guests love them.  I first met Mary Ella and her husband when they opened their Austin store, but had never met her son, Josh Needleman. I adore Mary Ella and had so much fun hanging out with her (we even made a cute video!).  I was so happy to get one of her books signed. I’m enjoying reading about her life and business on my summer vacation.

(Note: You may not know this tidbit of info, but Peacock Alley has carried Deborah Main pillows for over 10 years in their Dallas, and now Austin and Nashville stores. They are such a fabulous company to work with. Be sure to stop by!)

#4 Pillow Goddess Product Pick is Shay Geyer’s new floral pieces for Botanical Mix. Now, as you can see below, Style Eyes’ designer Shayla Copas selected the beautiful mix named after Shay’s daughter, the delightful Jaylie. But me, I love them all so much I decided to pick the entire collection!!

#5 Pillow Goddess Product Pick is one I selected before, but had to mention again as it’s one of my faves,  Robin Baron’s Rochelle credenza in Baroness Orange.  And once again, it looks like Shayla Copas and I both love Robin’s color choice and design!  We had so much fun at Robin Baron’s Dallas Showroom in the Interior Home + Design Center!

BONUS Event Picks: I would be totally remiss if I did not mention the 3 Dallas events that really inspired me.

#1 Grand Opening of LIGHTOVATION new SMART Center. I had the pleasure of not only seeing the new educational center (which is amazing!) but hearing expert Leslie Carothers speak on Social Media in one of their new conference rooms.

#3 Global Views Grand Opening of their NEW Dallas Showroom. Huge attendance, many demonstrations (see photos below) and gorgeous products.  Read about their Grand Opening and Brand Partners HERE and be sure to stop by their new showroom in Dallas. It was wonderful to meet Aviva Stanoff and see friend Julia Buckingham. I finally got a copy of her book, Modernique, YAY!!
