Off to Dallas Market – NEW Linen and Wood Series!

Today, the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market starts June 22 – June 28th. We’ve been busy in the Deborah Main Designs studio creating two more Limited Edition styles for our NEW Linen and Wood Series and a few Texas souvenir scarf pillows, while also sorting through our vast collection of vintage French trim. Its so pretty, I wish I could keep it all, but I promised myself to cull and only keep the textiles and trim that will fit in my studio.

Organizing all my delicious vintage French trim that I’ve collected over the past 10 years is definitely turning into a full fledged spring and summer project, but on a positive note, I’d say we’re half way there. Yippee!!!

How can you tell? Because I started a new Etsy store called, none other than, the “pillowgoddess” to sell some of my extra vintage French trim. There’s only a few listings, but I’ll be adding trim and textiles every week, so stay tuned.

Its actually been VERY exciting and creatively therapeutic to get all my vintage French trim from storage and squeeze it into my tiny studio. Seeing it all has been very inspiring and I’m sharing some of that with you here in our Friday Flowers and Trim summer posts.

Getting my hands on all my vintage French trim, I’m like a kid opening a fresh box of crayons. The pillow has always been my canvas, and the trim, with all its glorious oolor and texture, my paints.

But with my French trim having been in storage I wasn’t able to fully create my work. This change has been huge for my psyche and creative future. You’ll here more about that in future posts. But I’m definitely going through a creative transformation and when I launch my new website, I hope you will easily recognize it.

Now, down to the details for Dallas Market.  It’s a Pillow Party and You’re Invited!

I’m thrilled to be launching my NEW Linen and Wood Series of artisan pillows. I incorporate my vintage French trim into the design wrapped around beautiful wooden circles hand-turned by Jeff Hornung of The Walnut Log. This body of work really gets me back to my roots of working more with the paints of my craft: vintage trim, ribbon, jewelry, clothing, belts, fur, wood and many more unique embellishments.

Here’s a peak at the four styles currently available to order at market in The Doris Sanders Showroom, #555-WTC.
