20 Jan Off to Dallas Market and Vegas Baby!!

Happy New Year friends! The new year here at our studio Deborah Main Designs has been off to a quick start, so I’ve had no time to post. But you can look forward to posts in the next few months because we have a lot of exciting CHANGES coming up for 2016.

FIRST:  With the help of my fabulous seamstress, Kim, I’ve finally organized all the new and vintage textiles I’ve collected for the past 10 years and can see my floor and cutting table again. YAY!!  So much easier to think and work that way It’s nothing fancy, (at least not until I install the fabulous new wallpaper that I won from Kimberly Lewis!), but the work rooms of design studios are just that…..the creative process in action. But I can’t wait to get in there and design because new collections are swimming in my mind and I’m working on one right now with mixed materials that I can’t wait to share with you! (No sneak peek yet, but soon).

Wait until you see what this wall is going to look like with the new wallpaper by NYC designer Kimberly Lewis!!

SECOND: I’m working with a fabulous strategic team and re-branding with a whole new website and I can’t wait for you to see that!!  We’ve added just a few pillows (9 for now, with many more to come!) to our current website (as a soft launch) of our new Essentials luxury pillow collection (above). Please check it out HERE and all the pillows on our current website Deborah Main Designs as many more, about 50 new designs, are available for you to shop!

THIRD: I’m off to Dallas Market Thursday 21st – Saturday 23rd, to meet our long-time stores, and meet some of the designers I’ve been chatting with on SoMe for a couple years. It’s always so much fun to meet #IRL ( in real life).  I’ve also joined ARTS and will be attending the 27th ARTS Awards Gala in Dallas which is like the Oscars for
home accessories.

And I’m on the hunt for new representation in a Dallas (and even Vegas) showroom that reps luxury accessories and home furnishings across the USA, so please come forward if you’d like to rep my luxury pillow line. Contact me at 512.447.9807.

FOURTH: Then, by good fortune, I am off to the Vegas mkt with Jackie Von Tobel of Soft Design Lab on the Red Carpet Tour.  This will not only be my very 1st time at Las Vegas Market,  but my very 1st time IN Vegas.

I am SO excited I’m about to burst!!!

So Pillow Goddess blog is on a break for a bit til I’m back from traveling, but I wanted you to know what’s up at our little studio in Austin Texas and to be sure you know I haven’t forgotten about you.

Till February, stay warm, work on those new years resolutions. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you I started yoga for the very first time on Mondays at noon. I’m a newbie but my teacher takes it slowly and I am addicted already. It feels fantastic to start each week with some stretching and mindfulness!!  Highly recommend it!

What are some new things you’ve started in 2016? My word is ‘change” and I’m right in the midst of it.
