Now let’s get inspired with some holiday color!  And just in case you forgot there are only 9 days left until Christmas. Boy, I’d better get on the stick and get some shopping done.

Below is one of my all time holiday favorite pillows that we at Deborah Main Designs made from a 1940’s silk taffeta cocktail dress. What I love about it most, is that I was able to find the exact color of the collar of the dress (which is hard to see in this image, a rich burgundy velvet) with a vintage quilted bathrobe.  In our studio, that is what you call the “Perfect Vintage Find”. And that’s what always gets me the most excited.  Check out the vintage dress here:

And look what I was able to do with Amy Wax’s Color911 App!! Now aren’t all those color shades incredibly inspiring? Makes me think of all the holiday lights and candy. This pillow can be placed in any home decor from modern to traditional. Imagine how much it would perk up a gray or cream sofa…or be fabulous on a delicious blue velvet sofa!
